The U.S. government has declared parts of  Arizona off limits to U.S. citizens

Arizona 2010

#26) The U.S. government has declared some parts of Arizona offlimits to U.Scitizens because of the threat of violence from Mexican drug smugglers. The U.S. government has been so negligent when it comes to illegal immigration that it has created a law enforcement crisis of unprecedented proportions in many areas of the southwest United States. Authorities in Arizona are now openly

admitting that Mexican drug cartels totally control some areas of the state. Local police are outgunned, outmanned and are increasingly being shot by Mexican drug smugglers. Yet the U.S. government continues to do nothing to secure the border. The truth is that our insane immigration policy makes legal immigration incredibly difficult but does next to nothing to stop all the gang

members, serial criminals, drug smugglers and terrorists that are regularly crossing the Mexican border whenever they want. Law enforcement authorities in Arizona are now openly announcing that the Mexican drug cartels totally control a drug smuggling corridor that extends from the Mexican border all the way up to Phoenix

#25) According to the credit card repayment calculator, if you owe $6000 on a credit card with a 20 percent interest rate and only pay the minimum payment each time, it will take you 54 years to pay off that credit card. During those 54  years you will pay $26,168 in interest rate charges in addition to the $6000 in principal that you are required to pay back. Welcome to the Federal Reserve’s Credit Card Repayment Calculator. Based on the information you provide, the

calculator will give you an estimate of how long it will take you to pay off your credit card balance. The calculator assumes:

  • you make no more charges; and
  • you make only the minimum payment each month.
A second calculation can help you develop a plan for paying off your balance sooner. Please use your most recent credit card bill. You may get a more accurate estimate from your credit card issuer’s website. How long will it take  me to pay off my credit card balance if I make only the

That sum represents about 1% of the $14.5 billion of CDOs and $47 billion of RMBS the investment bank underwrote between December 2006 and Wednesday, Cohn said. At the end of June 2007, Goldman Sachs /quotes/comstock/13*!gs/quotes/nls/gs (GS 131.08, 0.00,

Cohn disclosed the analysis in testimony prepared for a hearing held by the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission, which is studying causes of the 2008 financial meltdown. The Securities and Exchange Commission sued Goldman Sachs in April, alleging the firm didn’t tell investors in a CDO that hedge-fund firm Paulson & Co. helped structure the deal and also was betting

against it. Goldman has said it did nothing wrong and Paulson wasn’t charged. During congressional hearings that followed the suit, legislators accused Goldman of betting against its clients.

“After the government bailed AIG out, the insurer swiftly paid Goldman and other derivatives counterparties 100 cents on the dollar to settle its contracts. This move has been one of the most controversial parts of the government response to the financial crisis”.

Megabanks: The Banking Oligarchy That Controls Assets Equivalent To 60 Percent Of America’s GNP

#23) The six biggest banks in the United States now possess assets equivalent to 60 percent of America’s gross national product. Back in the 1990s that figure was less than 20 percent. These six banks – Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan Chase, Citigroup, Bank of America, and Wells Fargo – literally dictate what goes on in the U.S. banking industry. These entities are the poster  children for “too big to fail”, and they donate massive amounts of cash to the
campaigns of both Republicans and Democrats to ensure that they will continue to receive favorable treatment. The vast majority of Americans have had a banking account, a credit card and/or a mortgage with one of these institutions at some point. If they acted in concert, these six banks could literally bring down the U.S. economy overnight if they wanted to. Together with the Federal
Reserve, these six banks representthe real financial power in America. They are the 800 pound gorilla in the room that influences nearly every major financial deal that gets done and virtually every major political decision that gets made. Another Way That The Federal Reserve Makes Massive Gobs Of Money For The Big Banks

#22) When most people discuss how the Federal Reserve benefits the big banks, they usually only focus on the ways that the Federal

Reserve directly brings in income. But there is so much more to it than that. The truth is that the Federal Reserve is used in a  whole variety of ways to indirectly assist the big banks in making huge gobs of money. One of the ways this is currently being accomplished is through the U.S. Treasury carry trade. So

how does this carry trade work? Well, it basically has three steps and it works  something like this…. #1) Mr. Big Bank goes over to the Federal Reserve and says, “Hey Mr. Federal Reserve – please loan me a big bag of cash for next to nothing.” Of course, the Federal Reserve is more than happy to loan it to him. 2) Mr. Big Bank then invests the same big bag of cash into U.S.  Tresuries which have a much higher interest

rate than what Mr. Big Bank just borrowed at. To give you an idea, 10-year U.S. Treasuries are earning around 3 and a half percent right now.#3) Mr. Big Bank sits back and enjoys the huge amount of risk-free cash which comes pouring in. This little three step procedure helped enable four of the biggest U.S. banks (Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, Bank  of  America and Citigroup) to have a “perfect quarter” during the first quarter of 2010. What that means is that these four banks had zero days of trading losses in the first quarter more

1.41 Million Americans Filed for Personal Bankruptcies in 2009 a jump of 32 Percent from 2008

#21) The employment report out on Friday just goes to show that the American economy is still struggling to create jobs for average Americans. In fact 85,000 more jobs were lost in December but that isn’t the biggest data point out of the report. The civilian labor force

shrunk by a stunning 661,000 and that is really the only reason the unemployment rate is still at 10 percent. This economy that is still very much in a jobs recession has pushed more and more Americans

into the ultimate economic distress equivalent of a SOS. Bankruptcies are soaring and in 2009 1.41 million Americans filed for personal bankruptcies, a jump of 32 percent from 2008. This must put the recent stock market rally into perspective. The average American is still trying to negotiate the new economic landscape while theselect few are able to increase their wealth at the expense of the many. Let us look at

bankruptcy filings per year: Now you might be wondering why there was a big jump in 2005 in the midst of the “growing” economy. In 2005 new rules and regulations were coming into effect that would make future bankruptcy filings more onerous and had clauses to gouge average Americans. So many rushed to file before means testing and other

criteria came into effect. So this recent jump is more significant since it comes in light of the new tougher

standards to file. But the economy is aching and average Americans are trying all they can to get by, tougher rules or not. How much money can you squeeze out of a family that just lost their job? This enormous jump in bankruptcies came in a year that the stock market rallied by over 60 percent from the March lows in 2009. Apparently, this stock market rally did very little to assist many average Americans

in their economic struggles. As you would expect this crisis is causing many people to file and not what you may expect. Average Americans from all levels are having troubles servicing their mounting debt:WSJ) during this recession, the housing crisis and high unemployment rate have prompted more people to file for bankruptcy who may never have considered the option before, experts said. Filings from 2008 showed more people with high income and high education levels

resorting to bankruptcy petitions, according to an annual survey of consumer-bankruptcy filers’ demographics by the Institute for Financial Literacy, a nonprofit that provides bankruptcy-related counseling and education services. Those demographic trends appeared to continue last year. Mr. Mann said he believes more

In their latest eyebrow-raising PR move, multinational oil giant BP has enlisted private security contractors to keep onlookers away from oil cleanup sites. While the firm they hired apparently isn’t Blackwater (the private security firm Blackwater changed their name to Xe Services after a spate of

Wired‘s “Danger Room” blog dubbed BP’s decision to hire private mercenaries in the Gulf “one of the bestest public relations moves ever. ” The blog notes that BP’s move recalls bungled decisionmaking in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, when the US Department of Homeland Security – and

said Wednesday. Speaking at a town hall in Racine, Wisconsin, Obama called for sending a “civilian expeditionary force” to Afghanistan and Iraq to help overburdened military troops build infrastructure. His remarks were first reported by The Associated Press. “So what I’m trying to say is, don’t put all the burden on the military. Make

sure that we’ve got a civilian expeditionary force,” said the president, adding that the civilian force would build schools, bridges and roads in regions cleared by the military as safe. Obama last December renounced the possibility committing the US to a lengthy “nation-building” project. “I reject this course because it sets goals that  are beyond what can be achieved at a reasonable cost, and what we need to achieve to secure our interests,”

Department of Defense Directive 1404.10, dated January 23, 2009, set up a “Civilian Expeditionary Workforce” that would “be organized, trained, cleared, equipped, and ready to deploy in support of combat operations by the  military; contingencies; emergency operations; humanitarian missions; disaster relief; restoration of order; drug interdiction; and stability operations.” Its intent would be “to maximize the use of the civilian workforce to allow military personnel to be fully…more.

#18) On June 18th, two Christians decided that they would peacefully pass out copies of the gospel of John on a public sidewalk outside a public Arab festival in Dearborn, Michigan and within 3 minutes 8 policemen surrounded them and placed them under arrest. Is freedom of speech dead in America? Well, And the American people are just standing around and letting it happen. if not, it is rapidly dying. The most recent

example to illustrate this comes out of Dearborn, Michigan. On June 18th, two Christians decided that they would peacefully pass out copies of the gospel of  John on a public sidewalk outside a public Arab festival in Dearborn, and within 3 minutes 8 policemen surrounded them and placed them under arrest. Remember, these Christians were on a public sidewalk and were only very quietly handing out literature. Even their

cameraman was arrested for simply filming what was taking place. The cameraman was not even involved in handing out the literature. Yet the policearrested him. At least two people claim that some bystanders cried out “Allahu Akbar!” as the Christians were being led away in handcuffs. Later, the group was told that they would have to go at least five blocks away to hand out their copies of the gospel of John. Freedom of speech has always been a big part of the

American Dream, but as this incident and many others like it demonstrate, freedom of speech is rapidly being destroyed in the United States. More

40 percent of Florida homes sales are foreclosures

In Miami- Dade County, foreclosure sales made up nearly half — 47 percent — of all homes sales in the first five months of 2010, according to a newreport from Irvine, Calif.-based RealtyTrac, which aims to measure

To compare, less than 1 percent of Florida home sales in 2005 were of foreclosed roperties, Sichenzia said distressed property sales should make up about 2 percent of total sales. By 2007, foreclosure sales grew to 4 percent of the total market in Florida. It rose to 38 percent last year. Yet Florida didn’t even make it into the top three states nationally

Airport body scanners ‘could give you cancer’, warns expert

By Daily Mail Reporter

#15) Full body scanners at airports could increase yourrisk of skin cancer, experts warn. The X-ray  machines have been brought in at Manchester, Gatwick and Heathrow. But scientists say radiation from the scanners has been underestimated and could be particularly risky for children. They say that the low level beam does deliver a small dose of radiation to the body but because the beamconcentrates on the skin – one of the most radiation-sensitive organs of the

human body – that dose may be up to 20 times higher than first estimated. An airport staff member demonstrates a full body scan at Manchester Airport. Now a U.S expert has said the X-Ray may deliver a higher radiation dose to the skin than first thought, Dr David Brenner, head of Columbia University’s centre for radiological research, said although the danger posed to the individual passenger is ‘very low’, he is urging researchers to carry out more

tests on the device to look at the way it affects specific groups who could be more sensitive to radiation. He says children and passengers with gene mutations – around one in 20 of the population – are more at risk as they are less able to repair X-ray damage to their DNA. Dr Brenner, who is originally from Liverpool but now works at the New York university, said: ‘The individual risks associated with X-ray backscatter scanners are probably extremely small more

#14) The United States financial system is facing a retirement crisis of unprecedented magnitude in the coming years. Social Security and Medicare are both on the verge of collapse, and both private and public pension funds all over America are massively underfunded. Now new data is revealing that the number of Americans who have virtually nothing saved up for retirement continues to grow at a rapid pace. According to the Employee Benefit Research

Institute’s annual Retirement Confidence Survey, the percentage of American workers who have less than $10,000 saved for retirement has grown to 43%. The number of American workers who say that they have less than $1,000 saved for retirement has grown to 27%. But perhaps this should be no surprise considering the fact that tens of millions of Americans are just trying to figure out how to get through each month financially.

After all, it is really hard to plan for retirement when you can barely pay your mortgage. Retirement has always been portrayed as the “golden years” at the end of the American Dream. But for millions of Americans the goal of retiring comfortably is farther away then ever. In fact, an increasing number of Americans are having to delay retirement. The survey also revealed that 24% of American workers say that they have postponed their planned retirement age in the past year. This figure was way up from 14% in 2008. But even if millions of Americans won’t prepare for retirement, won’t Social Security take care of them? more

Judge favored by BP has financial ties to oil industry

#12) Houston, Texas (CNN) — The judge that BP wants to hear an estimated 200 lawsuits over the Gulf of Mexico oil disaster gets tens of thousands of dollars a year in oil royalties and is paid travel expenses to industry conferences, financial disclosure forms show. Lawyers who practice before U.S. District Judge Lynn Hughes say he’s tough but fair, and a CNNreview of his cases found he ruled in favor of oil companies only slightly more often than he

ruled against them. But his connections to the industry have raised eyebrows at a time when BP is under fire for the worst oil spill in U.S. history. Federal financial disclosure forms obtained by CNN show that since 2003, Hughes has consistently been paid annual fees from the oil and gas industry, mostly in the form of lease payments for wells and mineral rights on land he owns. None of the payments comes from BP, but his holdings include mutual funds that draw income from Anadarko Petroleum, a minority owner in the well now pouring up to 2.5 million gallons a day into the Gulf more

This silent monster grows larger every year, and yet nobody seems to know quite what to do about it. Those who have closely analyzed this monster all seem to agree that one day it will create a financial tsunami of a magnitude that is absolutely unprecedented, but there is vast disagreement about how to escape this financial tsunami or if it is even possible to escape it. The name of this monster is “entitlements” – Social Security, Medicare and other social Ponzi schemes that the U.S. government

has locked itself absorb approximately 92 cents of every dollar of federal revenue by the year 2019. By 2020, that figure will be up around 100 cents of every dollar of federal revenue. So that means that

Zero Tolerance: States ‘Add a Little Common Sense’

#04) Lundberg (R-15th District). The legislation that Lundberg sponsored added a small exception to Colorado’s zero-tolerance policy on weapons in schools. The policy now allows students to bring facsimile or prop weapons to school if they leave them in their cars. Earlier this year, Colorado public school student Marie Morrow was expelled because there were three facsimile drill-team rifles in her car while it was parked on campus. After she had missed six days of class, a school hearing officer ruled she could return to school after all. Lundberg’s legislation responded to that incident. “I wasn’t trying to challenge zero-tolerance policies on dangerous weapons,” said Lundberg. “I was trying to define what a dangerous weapon is.” The bill passed unanimously in both
houses, but lawmakers resisted efforts to further clarify the definition of a “dangerous weapon.” In Florida, students have been arrested for bringing a plastic
butter knife to school, throwing an eraser, and drawing a picture of a gun. More Than 1 In 5 American Children Are Now Living Below The Poverty Line

#02) Perhaps the greatest victims of the economic nightmare that is unfolding right in front of our eyes are our children. The overall economic numbers are really bad, but when you examine the impact that this economy is having on children things get really horrifying. Today, 1 in 5 American children live in poverty and 1 in 4 American children are on food stamps. Experts tell us that about 50 percent of all U.S. children will be on food stamps at some point before they reach the age of 18. Up to half a million American children are homeless even as you read this. And yet we continue to insist that we are the wealthiest nation in the world. Well, if we are so wealthy, then why  are so many millions of our children suffering so desperately? Part of the reason is because an increasing number of parents can’t find work. May, which was a big increase from 33 weeks during April. To give you some perspective how incredibly bad that is, the average duration of unemployment was only 16.5 weeks in December 2007.  more

The Largest Abortion Supercenter In The United States Has Opened In Houston

#01)On May 11th, Planned Parenthood officially opened their fourth abortion “supercenter”. This new abortion supercenter is located in Houston, Texas and it is the largest abortion facility in the United States. It stands six stories tall, and it contains approximately 78,000 square feet of space. Considering the fact that they charge anywhere between $500 to $2,500 per abortion procedure, this new centerstands to make a whole lot of money. But at what price? Since 1973, more than 50 million babies have been murdered in abortion facilities across the United States. We have wiped out an entire generation in the name of selfishness and convenience. And the really sad thing is that so much government money hasgone to support Planned Parenthood. This is an organization that has had some of the most wicked leadership imaginable. The founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger, actually said the following all the way back  in 1922: “The most merciful thing that a

family does to one of its infant members is to kill it.” Hopefully you are repulsed by that statement, but the philosophy of Planned Parenthood’s founder is being carried out every single day in Planned Parenthood facilities across the United States. What some of these abortion procedures entail is absolutely horrifying. One particularly gruesome method of abortion is known as “partial birth” abortion. The following are the five steps of a partial birth abortion….

  1. Guided by ultrasound, the abortionist grabs the baby’s legs with forceps.
  2. The baby’s leg is pulled out into the birth canal.
  3. The abortionist delivers the baby’s entire body, except for the head.
  4. The abortionist jams scissors into the baby’s skull. The scissors are then opened to enlarge the skull.
  5. The scissors are removed and a suction catheter is inserted. The child’s brains are sucked out, causing the skull to collapse.

The dead baby is then removed. Are you sickened yet? You should be. But the sad thing is that abortion has been legalized (at least to some extent) by most of the countries in the world. It is being pushed by global elitists who are convinced that there are way too many people on earth and who are rabidly determined to control the population.more

Margaret Sanger’s view on abortion;
Abortion and related issues
In a chapter from Woman and the New Race (1920) entitled “Contraceptives or Abortion?,” Sanger wrote, “While there are cases where even the law recognizes an abortion as justifiable if recommended by a physician, I assert that the hundreds of thousands of abortions performed in America each year are a disgrace to civilization.” Roger Streitmatter has claimed that Sanger’s opposition to abortion  stemmed primarily from a concern for the dangers to the mother rather than moral issues. Nonetheless, in her 1938 autobiography, Sanger notes that her 1916 opposition to abortion was based on the taking of life: “To each group we explained what contraception was; that abortion was the wrong way—no matter how early it was performed it was taking life; that contraception was the better way, the safer  way—it took a little time, a little trouble, but was well worth while in the long run, because life had not yet begun.” In a 1916 edition of Family Limitation, Sanger advised women douche with boric acid and to take quinine to prevent implantation. She wrote further, “No one can doubt that there are times when an abortion is justifiable but they will become unnecessary when care is taken to prevent conception. This is the only cure for abortions.”
